With experience in all types of beads and wiring there is a hidden treasure when discovering the world of permanent jewelry and chain repair.
From gemstones and charms to dainty chains and real metals, Daphne Austin is a professionally tailored jewelry service in the greater New Haven area.

Welding is used to permanently join the jewelry using a pulse-arc micro welder. Pulse-arc welding (also called micro TIG) delivers very short electrical pulses that keep overall heat extremely low, preventing distortion of thin chains. The process creates a highly localized electrical arc that heats only the jump ring for milliseconds, with no open flame. It requires no solder and no flux, and when performed correctly, it is safe to use on skin.

Measure chain directly on wrist/ankle/neck
Insert Leather Safety Patch between skin and jewelry contact.
Cut chain to exact length
Insert a small jump ring
Position jump ring ends together
Micro-welder fires a brief arc
Jump ring fuses shut
Area is cooled immediately
Total heat exposure: milliseconds
